We all remember how Edgar Davids conveniently failed to put the ball out of play in the match against Arsenal in the 05/06 epl season after Emmanuel Eboue was left lying on the pitch injured. Spurs went on to score a crucial equaliser. Martin Jol’s excuse… “Edgar didn’t see ‘m”. Right.

Last night, Didier Zokora (fine player i might add) mysteriously took to the ground under absolutely no influence from poor pompey defender Pedro Mendes. He was livid, I was sad. Pity another fine ivorian turns out to be a bloody cheat. Anyway, what got to me even more was Martin Jol’s reaction. In all justice, he did admit there was no contact between the two, but he claimed, “it wasn’t a dive, he was off balance”. HA! Mr. Jol, just so you know, in order to dive, you have to position your body in such a manner so that it isn’t balanced. And the maestro (self proclaimed nickname… fitting… ) did a mighty fine job i might add… great buy!
