the ugly erm, car – a1 team singapore car

I have been holding out on this post for a week now to see if my opinion changed over time, but it hasn’t. Whoever designed the livery on the new Team Singapore A1 GP car will not appreciate this… the car looks like crap. A car needs to look smart, clean and fast even when it has spun out on the race and has been parked for all to see by Christian Murchison at Zandvoort. Where the gold and black came from, i don’t know. Looking at the colour scheme, one would think that Mugen invested heavily in this project.

All the other teams can do it, why can’t we. I hate to admit this, but the Indonesian car looks outstanding. So do the Team Ireland and Team Greece cars. Hell, even the Kiwi all-black car looks better. I think the car would look better if it were all PINK.

Still, these are exciting times for Singaporean Racing. And it seems like the racing team, West Surrey Racing, is the real deal. Looking at recent performances, I don’t think we’ll be able to catch Alex Yoong and co., but it’d be nice.

The flyin pig is based in the garden city of Singapore. Lovely as it is, the weather can get pretty hot and humid and hence, the flyin pig makes use of this outlet to vent his frustrations with the weather on icons in sports, politics, etc.

There’s no room for hacks and cheats in this world, but there’s room for them here. The flyin pig will point you out. Enjoy.

Thanks for your comment. Design, like taste in wine and women, is very subjective.

The A1 Team Singapore car livery was designed by an award-winning Creative Director whose work has been recognised in New York and London. It has been singled out by fans, team officials and experienced TV commentators as one of the two best designs of this season alongside South Africa.

Not that it means anything but just goes to show that one man’s great design is another man’s gross disaster.

Keep rooting for the team – that’s more important than agreeing on our design.

HA!… glad to see people don’t read too much into the rubbish i write. Thanks for the interesting information. Maybe the livery will start looking nicer to me when the team gets some points.
